Dear Friends,
I am honored to present to you the Alabama Department of Senior Services Annual Report: FY 2009. This report reflects the wide array of services being required to  serve the growing senior population while continuing to promote their independence and dignity.
It is my pleasure to report the Department of Senior Services’ many accomplishments during FY 2009. What a busy and exciting year it proved to be! We were pleased to have Kathy Greenlee confirmed as the new Assistant Secretary of Aging in Washington. With an extensive background in the aging arena, Assistant Secretary Greenlee is a tremendous asset at the Administration of Aging.
